Policy on Corrections and Retractions

At Journal Social Research (JSR), published by Nexus House Editorial, we are firmly committed to safeguarding the integrity of the scholarly record and upholding the highest standards of editorial quality and academic ethics. We recognize that post-publication issues may occasionally arise and have established clear, transparent procedures to address corrections and retractions when necessary.

  1. Corrections

When Corrections Are Issued:
Corrections are published when substantive errors are identified in a published article that could affect the accuracy, interpretation, or credibility of the research. Such errors may involve data, methodology, analysis, author information, or other essential elements of the publication.

Requesting a Correction:
Authors must submit a formal correction request to the editorial office at editor@nexushouse.org. The request should clearly describe the identified error, its location in the article, and the proposed correction.

Editorial Assessment:
The editorial board will review the request to determine whether a correction is warranted and to decide the appropriate form and scope of the correction.

Correction Notice:
When approved, a correction notice will be published and permanently linked to the original article. The notice will clearly describe the nature of the error and the changes made, ensuring full transparency for readers.

  1. Retractions

When Retraction Is Warranted:
An article may be retracted under the following circumstances, including but not limited to:

Evidence of data fabrication, falsification, or manipulation.

Redundant or duplicate publication without appropriate disclosure or citation.

Serious ethical breaches, such as plagiarism or unauthorized use of third-party data.

Post-publication discovery of errors or evidence that invalidate the article’s findings or conclusions.

Retraction Process:

Initiation of Request: Retraction requests may be submitted by authors, readers, reviewers, or institutions, accompanied by a clear explanation and supporting documentation.

Editorial Evaluation: The editorial board will conduct a comprehensive review of the case and may consult independent experts or relevant institutions when appropriate.

Retraction Notice: If a retraction is justified, a formal retraction notice will be published, stating the reason(s) for retraction. The original article will remain accessible for the scholarly record but will be clearly marked as retracted and linked to the retraction notice.

  1. Transparency and Record Keeping

All correction and retraction actions will be fully documented and communicated openly. Journal Social Research (JSR) is committed to maintaining transparency in post-publication updates to preserve trust in the academic record.

  1. Ethical Commitment

Through this corrections and retractions policy, Journal Social Research (JSR) reaffirms its responsibility to protect research integrity and ensure that all published content adheres to the highest standards of scholarly, scientific, and editorial ethics.
